Atherton Crescent Residence III.

Client brief: “I'm only going to build one house · so I'm going to do it right.”

A contemporary split-level home on a steeply sloping site, designed across three levels to make use of the natural topography. Diverse materials and an optimised solar orientation are carried through the scheme.

The entry foyer features a 7.2-metre-high ceiling and a custom-designed forged-steel balustrade. Living and outdoor spaces span the entire northern facade, with spectacular lake, suburban and rural views over eastern Wagga Wagga from the primary living spaces.

Varied ceiling heights are carried through the central living areas, with the design opening west to integrate the adjacent bushland reserve.
